Adele reportedly offered a £20m Las Vegas residency

She’s one of the biggest stars around the world, with an estimated £125m fortune, three number one albums and 15 Grammys.

So it is no surprise that Adele has been offered a £20m residence in one of Vegas’ top hotels as she is reportedly set to join a string of superstars in such an offer.

A source told The Sun that the 29-year-old was offered a 12-month stint at The Wynn Hotel, with a paycheck of $500,000 per show.

Superstar: Adele, 29, has reportedly been offered a £20m residency in Las Vegas and The Wynn Hotel, with sources saying it would amount to $500,000 per show

The source said: ‘In the last few years, we have seen massive stars performing on the strip and every major hotel wants to say they have the biggest star as their resident.

‘Caesars Palace had Mariah Carey, Planet Hollywood has Britney Spears, and we want Adele. Even at half a million bucks a show we are confident we would make a healthy return.’

The source added that they are not concerned by Adele’s health, after pulling out of several shows on her last tour due to vocal chord damage.

The source added: ‘Adele is a professional, and knows her own ability. And we are happy to be flexible in negotiations if it’s needed in order to bring her on board.’ A representative for Adele has been contacted for comment.

Should she say yes, Adele would be the latest in a long line of superstars to perform in Vegas, with appropriately hefty paychecks.

Currently the highest paid Vegas resident is Celine Dion, earning an estimated $476,000 per show, in her second residency for Caesar’s Palace after first debuting at the venue in 2011.

Celine requested to return to Caesar’s Palace for a second run of shows, with her current leg set to end in January 2018. Country artist Garth Brooke was paid $100m for a residency at The Wynn in 2009, after being convinced to come out of retirement for the shows.

The stint was set to last three years, though Garth finished his residency early to take care of his family.

Adele previously left fans devastated after cancelling the final two shows of her tour in Wembley Stadium, stating that she needed vocal rest.

In a statement tweeted out to fans, the star wrote: ‘I’m so desperate to do them that I’ve even considered miming, just to be in front of you and be with you.

‘But I’ve never done it and I cannot in a million years do that to you. It wouldn’t be the real me up there.’
