Adult film star Angela White reveals what ‘ethical porn sets’ are like

One of Australia’s most famous porn stars has opened up about how she strives to keep her sets ethical.

Angela White says the adult film industry ‘can do better’ and has added producer to her list of credentials to help create a safer workplace for performers.

The 33-year-old opened up to Andrew Denton on Channel 7’s Interview about what can be done to protect porn actors and actresses looking to have a career in the adult film industry.

‘Well I think our industry can always do better to protect the performers in it,’ she told Denton.

White aims to keep things ethical by paying her performers on time and ensuring her set is a ‘safe set’.

‘A set where people are fed, where they feel comfortable, where they feel warm,’ she said.

She also said that what happens on camera is never done without consent. 

White says that all sex acts are negotiated before they are performed in order to ensure everyone is comfortable. 

Performers are able to opt-out of a scene should they begin to feel uneasy – even if previous consent was granted.

‘At any point they can withdraw their consent for any act that they previously said they were willing to do,’ she said.
