A duo of clairvoyants turned Howie Mandel into a mind reader during a baffling act on Wednesday night’s episode of America’s Got Talent.
Amelie van Tass and Thommy Ten, of Austria, asked the 61-year-old judge to come onstage, along with his fellow judge Mel B, 42.
Thommy then announced he was going to blindfold Howie, and instructed him to lift his left hand when he felt he was being touched.

Prompts: Thommy then announced he was going to blindfold Howie, and instructed him to lift his left hand when he felt he was being touched
Baffling: Amazingly, Howie ended up lifting his left hand even when it was Mel, and not him, who was being touched by one of the clairvoyants
Meanwhile, Amelie gave Mel the same instructions, but didn’t blindfold her.
Thommy and Amelie respectively touched Howie and Mel with their index fingers, prompting both judges to life their left hands.
The clairvoyants then touched their own index fingers together, with Thommy walking to Amelie’s end of the stage.
He remained near Mel and, while Amelie touched Mel’s knee, shoulder and head, Thommy kept pointing his finger in Howie’s direction, as if to poke him from a distance.
Although Thommy was not actually touching Howie, the judge lifted his left hand each time, as if he felt someone else’s touch.
After removing Howie’s blindfold, Thommy revealed to the judge he hadn’t actually been touched, leaving him baffled.
But that was only the first part of the act.
It continues: For the second part of the act, Howie had to keep his eyes closed and put his fingers into his ears so he wouldn’t hear anything
Secrets: Mel was then told to shuffle through a box containing papers, each featuring a different word. She is pictured checking the words are indeed all different
Incredible: Amelie had Mel pick one card and read the word to herself. Howie ended up guessing correctly that the word she was thinking of was ‘sunshine’
Success: Both judges walked off the stage as the audience clapped for the clairvoyants, who first showcased their talents last year on the show and became finalists
Amelie had Mel shuffle through cards, each featuring a different word, then put them inside a box.
While Howie kept his eyes closed and blocked his ears with his finger, Mel reached inside the box, retrieved a card and read the word to herself, without saying it out loud.
‘Howie, did you sense a word?’ Thommy asked the judge.
‘I did,’ Howie replied, visibly confounded.
He then revealed the world he sensed was ‘sunshine’, and Mel was amazed to show this was the word written on her card.
Both judges walked off the stage as the audience clapped for the clairvoyants.
Thommy and Amelie first showcased their talents last year on the show, where they became finalists.
They finished second behind singer Grace VanderWaal.
