Alex Nation names Stu Laundy as winner of The Bachelorette

She clawed her way to Richie Strahan’s heart on The Bachelor last year.

So it’s no surprise that Alex Nation was keen to weigh in on who she thought would take the top spot on The Bachelorette this year.

Speaking to a photographer on Thursday during a Bali getaway with girlfriend Maegan Luxa, Alex tipped Stu as the winner of Sophie Monk’s heart, before adding: ‘I like Apollo though!’

Word from the wise! Alex Nation has revealed that she thought front-runner Stu Laundy would be the winner of Sophie Monk’s heart on The Bachelorette, telling a photographer during her Bali getaway with girlfriend Maegan Luxa this Thursday

‘I want Apollo to win!’ she added thoughtfully, presumably unaware that the handsome magician had been eliminated the night earlier.

When alerted to the fact that Apollo was gone, Alex shrugged: ‘Oh is he? I’m not keeping up!’

Alex is the latest in a slew of punters to predict Stu as the winner this season, with bookies listing him as a firm favourite.

Sportsbet currently has Stu in the lead on $1.22 buy-in, while Jarrod is on a whopping $4.00.

Meanwhile, Sportsbet now allows fans to place a bet on whether Apollo will become Australia’s next Bachelor.

Indeed, the hunky magician has spoken of his desire to return as The Bachelor in 2018, telling The Daily Telegraph that he is open to the idea.

Speaking to the publication on Thursday, Apollo said: ‘I would definitely be open to it. I don’t know how I would go disappointing people, though.’

He also told News Corp he hopes to show audiences that there is much more to him than was aired on the Channel Ten dating show.

‘It would work, people have seen me on the show – I guess they’ve seen a snapshot but there’s so much more to me,’ he told the publication.
