Amused man shows off his wife’s rude new license plate

A very amused man couldn’t resist sharing a photo of his wife’s new—and very rude— license plate.

The woman, from Louisiana, can be seen in the picture, shared on Imgur, with her head bowed and her hair obscuring her face, holding the newly attributed place.

As chance would have it, the numbers and letters attributed to this particular license plate read ‘889 BJS’, which reads as an innuendo regarding oral sex.

‘BJ’ is an abbreviation for ‘blow job’, as many similarly amused Imgur users promptly pointed out.

The image has quickly gone viral, and has gathered 154,261 views in just 13 hours.

One person responded by sharing another accidentally rude plate, this time from Missouri, which reads in part ‘8 DX’.

In Louisana, getting a license plate costs just $3, which have to be paid to the Office of Motor Vehicles, though people can also use a service approved and contracted by the state.

Imaginative: From filthy slogans to rude insults, there seems to be no end to the number of funny vanity plates being shown off on the roads, such as this one reading 'DOMNTRX'

Thank you for making that clear: This driver really wanted to make sure others knew how they generally feel about other people

That second option has a $37.95 convenience fee attached to it, and it is not known whether the woman used the service or oped for the much cheaper alternative when she applied for her new plate.

Luckily, if she doesn’t want to drive around with the rude message at the back of her car, she will be able to order a personalized plate.

Louisiana allocates custom plates on a first-come, first-serve basis, so she might not be able to get the design of her dreams, but getting a less offensive one should be easy enough.

Interestingly, the State’s regulations prohibit those who want personalized plates to request certain messages, including ‘vulgar or indecent connotations which may be offensive to good taste and decency’.

However while this poor woman doesn’t appear to have had a choice when it came to selecting the rather crude license plate, there are other drivers who will happily pay big bucks in order to secure witty words or numbers for their own vehicle registration.

From filthy slogans to rude insults, there seems to be no end to the number of funny vanity plates being shown off on the roads today, with many drivers happily taking to social media to flaunt the funniest options they have seen.

And while not all are as entertaining as the image posted by this Reddit user, there are certainly some who could give him a run for his money – from ‘IH8 PPL’ in Maine to ‘UFARTD’ in Alaska.
