Christmas came early for employees at a diner in Arizona when a mystery customer left a $2,000 tip on a $17 tab.
An anonymous man at the 5 & Diner in Scottsdale left a note on his bill wishing the staff a merry Christmas and to divide the tab among themselves.
‘We immediately brought it up to the manager that was on duty and she couldn’t believe it,’ said Delia Meeks, a server at the diner, to KPNX-TV.
‘We were all excited. It made the day of everyone who was working.’
The meal cost $17.23, making the generous bonus a 11,607 percent tip.
