Comedian Artie Lange has been arrested for skipping a court appearance.
Lange, 50, was arrested Tuesday night at his home in Hoboken, New Jersey and was still in jail as of Wednesday morning, TMZ reports.
Authorities say Lange failed to appear in Superior Court in Essex County for charges stemming from a drug arrest earlier this year.

The star’s arrest follows a strange incident on Friday in which the comedian tweeted a picture of himself with a swollen nose.
He captioned it: ‘Hey I got a quick message for u Ang. U ain’t the man. U run for the man. I fear nothing.’
It’s not clear whether his swollen nose is an injury or an infection but Hoboken police responded to Lange’s home and he later apologized.
‘Everything isn’t funny as the Great Hoboken Police just explained to me. I’m so sorry I made those guys deal with unimportant crap. I’m fine. In a related issue how do u delete a tweet?’ he commented on the photo the following day.

In October Lange missed a gig in Ohio when he was hospitalized due to medical complications arising from diabetes.
Lange, shock jock Howard Stern’s sidekick from 2001 until 2009, fell ill due to elevated sugar levels as result of his condition, TMZ reported, and was advised not to get on a plane.

In May Lange was found with a bag of heroin during a traffic stop.
He is facing charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia in the case.
Lange has been candid about his drug issues in the past and detailed his addiction to substances such as heroin and cocaine on numerous platforms, including his books Too Fat To Fish and Crash And Burn.
