Atletico Madrid have set off for Turin ahead of the second-leg of their Champions League last-16 clash against Juventus.

Alvaro Morata had a smile on his face — and with good reason — as he prepares to face his former side. Morata, back in good goalscoring form, will be hoping to down the side he played for between 2014 and 2016.

The Spanish team just have to defend their 2-0 advantage from the first leg when they face Juventus at the Allianz Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Antoine Griezmann was also part of the travelling party, while Stefan Savic wore tendy sunglasses as he boarded the flight.

The players seemed to be in good spirits as they posed for a group photo ahead of take-off. 

Atletico have been handed a huge boost ahead of their Champions League last-16 clash.

Diego Godin will be available for the game after missing their win against Leganes on Saturday. The defender had been ruled out of that game already as he was suspended.

But he also suffered an injury in their last training session before the La Liga clash on Friday, which could have seen him miss out on the second-leg.

But Diego Costa, Lucas Hernandez and Filipe Luis have all remained absent from the travelling party due to injuries. 

Speaking last week, Simeone insisted his players needed to play to their top level to advance in Turin.

The Argentine manager said: ‘We are not in the same situation as Juventus because they have a very large gap at the top of their league while we have to give our all in every league game.

‘We have to keep competing at our usual level and we must give everything if we are to get a favorable result.’
