A self-described ‘international madman’ is one step closer to winning his unlikely World Cup bet after Croatia beat England in the semi finals.
Youtube star Jeff, from Perth, got a huge tattoo on his back reading ‘World Cup winners Croatia 2018’ and bet $3,000 on Croatia to lift the trophy.
He chose the team and the amount at random by blindly selecting one of several ping pong balls with amounts written on them and throwing it into a group of cups each assigned a quarter-final team.

The ball he selected was marked $3,000 – out of a range from $500 to $10,000 – and the cup he threw it into turned out to be marked Croatia.
The 24-year-old’s video of him playing the game, placing the bet and getting the tattoo has gone viral since he posted it to his Youtube channel Jeffabel and Friends.
He now stands to win $22,500 if Croatia beat France on Sunday evening.
Jeff told Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday: ‘After the bet everyone told me it was never going to happen, that Croatia were never going to win – but now there’s a real chance.
‘I was over the moon when they beat England and am obviously sh*****g bricks for the final.’
Asked if he would have gone through with the bet if his game left him with Sweden, he said: ‘I probably would have, you know. I could have filmed it again, I suppose, but where’s the fun in that?’

Asked if he would laser remove the tattoo off if France win, he insisted: ‘Absolutely not.’
