Barbie Ferreira stars in MCM holiday campaign

Plus-size model Barbie Ferreira proves herself to be the life and soul of the party in a new holiday campaign for high-end brand MCM that features a diverse cast of actors, models, and dancers living it up at a fun-filled festive house party. 

Barbie, 20, is just one of many fashionable faces to appear in the video ad, which also features the likes of musician and model Kacy Hill, who is signed to Kanye West’s label Good, child actress Chelsea Miller, and identical dancing duo Les Twins.

Despite the party’s festive theme, Barbie eschews a traditional ugly sweater in favor of a much more fashion forward ensemble, modeling a mesh black turtle neck top, black crop top, black leather jacket, and a pair of baggy jeans.

The campaign is set at what appears to be a warehouse party, hosted by Kacy and Les Twins – but far from the average soiree, this holiday bash features a host of high-end gifts, choreographed dance moves, and some very ornate decorations. 

‘The campaign celebrates the spirit of giving with an NYC holiday party,’ a spokesperson from MCM said of the video. 

‘[There is an eclectic ensemble of guests including American model Barbie Ferreira, model and Taiwan blogger Hua Tsai and New York model, rapper Derek Drummond.

‘The video captures the joyous energy of the holiday season toasting unity, inclusivity and gift-giving.’

At the party, which is decorated with a riot of streamers, balloons, neon lights, a reams of tinsel, guests are seen chatting, laughing, drinking, and – of course – exchanging a number of gifts, many of which feature items from MCM’s festive collection.

Some guests quickly take to the dance floor to show off their moves, with Les Twins and Chelsea busting some serious grooves on carpeted floor, before being joined by their fellow party-goers. 

But far from simply showing its stars having a great time, MCM hopes that its campaign video sends a much more meaningful message that viewers can take beyond the holiday season. 

‘Celebrating diversity, unity and friendship during this holiday season, we wanted to create a festive and light-hearted video that embodies a genuine sense of fun and giving amongst friends,’ Rita Shukhman, MCM’s Vice President of Marketing & Communications told DailyMail.com. 

‘With this campaign video, MCM tells its new school luxury story through fresh and playful self-expression. 

‘The music is upbeat, the crowd is cool, the gifts are chic and we learn in the end the best gift to give for the holidays is always the gift of good vibes.’
