Boarding school is evacuated after a bomb threat is made to staff in a phone call

  • Boy’s independent school Ipswich Grammar was evacuated on Tuesday morning
  • All students and teachers were safe after a bomb threat made via phone to staff
  • Queensland Police attended the school and said they are investigating the threat

A boarding school has been evacuated after a bomb threat.

Ipswich Grammar School west of Brisbane received a threat via telephone on Tuesday morning, and all staff were evacuated safely.

Police are investigating.

‘Due to a telephone threat this morning, all staff and boys have been evacuated,’ the school said in a statement on Facebook. 

‘Queensland Police are on site and assisting us with managing the situation. Updates will continue on Facebook until the situation is resolved.’

Daily Mail Australia contacted the school and Queensland Police for comment.
