Boy survives after being knocked down and run over by bus

  • Schoolboy, eight, was hit by a bus from behind and run over by the wheel
  • The boy was said to be standing in the bus driver’s blind spot on the road
  • Onlookers helped to rescue the boy and sent him to hospital in China

This is the incredible moment a boy miraculously survived after being run over by a bus outside his primary school in Guangxi, south-west China.

The moment was captured on surveillance camera when the eight-year-old boy was hit by a blue bus which was reversing.

He did not sustain any major injuries after being freed from the wheels by onlookers, according to local reports.

Ifeng.com reported that the incident happened near Nandan First Elementary School on December 8 when the boy was standing in the middle of the road.

The bus driver was not aware of the boy’s presence when he reversed on the road and knocked the eight-year-old down on the floor instantly.

It’s believed that the boy was standing at the bus driver’s blind spot. 

Without noticing the boy, the clueless bus driver continued to reverse and ran over the boy by its rear left wheel.

It appeared the boy did not have any carer at the time.

The bus driver joins in to rescue as well and calls for ambulance service

The bus driver got off the bus and joined an onlooker to free the boy out.

The boy was taken to a local hospital and luckily to find no major injuries.

Nandan police is investigating into the matter.
