Brisbane beer delivery truck praised for funny design

A trendy Brisbane brewery has been praised for the ingenious advertising printed on the side of one of its delivery vans.

Newstead Brewing Co., which has two breweries in Brisbane but stocks its beers in pubs across Australia, designed the van when business began booming last year.

With both doors closed, the van reads: ‘Here’s our big marketing solution that may influence you to buy more beer. Try our beers they don’t suck!’

But when the door slides open, the message alters to read: ‘Dirty Bogan Beer Truck!’

Newstead Brewing Co’s brand ambassador, Darren Magin, said the company bought the van when their old delivery car, a rusty Toyota Hilux ute, had ‘seen better days’.

But the white delivery truck just didn’t quite have the same charm as the ute.

‘It was new…but it wasn’t Newstead. It was a big, white van that was very big and too white. We needed to do something about that,’ he explained.

‘Thanks to some great photography and some tedious vinyl handiwork we managed to replicate the ute onto one side of our new van .

‘That’s the driver’s side sorted but what about the other side, the passenger side, the near side?

‘Well, we got that covered too. Not with a Hilux but with another type of dirty bogan beer truck.’

Mr Magin told Daily Mail Australia the van ‘certainly turns a few heads…especially when the side door is open!’ 

An image of the ‘dirty bogan beer truck’ was posted online and quickly racked up thousands of views and comments from appreciative beer-lovers.
