A teenager has been charged after another man was stabbed in the stomach during a wild brawl at a Brisbane ferry wharf.

The 19-year-old allegedly attacked his 27-year-old victim after an argument broke out at Kangaroo Point in the city’s east on Saturday night.

The disagreement reportedly started when the younger man was getting off a ferry with a female companion as the other man attempted to board.

The teenager is alleged to have stabbed the 27-year-old before fleeing the scene on foot.

‘During that altercation, a 27-year-old man received a stab wound to the abdomen.’

The 19-year-old, who was found by police a short time after the incident, was refused bail and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday, charged with unlawful wounding.
