Huge blast rocks Cairo airport ‘as fuel tanks catch fire and explode’
A huge explosion has reportedly been heard at Cairo Airport this evening.
The blast is believed to have been the result of two fuel tanks catching fire and exploding.
Images on Twitter show a large plume of smoke rising from an area of Cairo International Airport, with some suggesting that it was a plane which had set on fire and then exploded.
All flights have been suspended at the airport.
