California driver ‘flees accident scene on three wheels’

Lucy Arrom, 44, was arrested on October 8 on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, hit-and-run and driving with a suspended license

A drunk driver who fled the scene of an accident on three wheels after being filmed by witnesses was later tracked down in a bar and arrested after parking her vehicle in a nearby garage.

Lucy Arrom, 44, was arrested on October 8 on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, hit-and-run and driving with a suspended license in Laguna Beach, California, according to The Indy.

After hitting another car, Arrom allegedly drove away from the scene of the accident with only three working wheels while witnesses followed her.

She ultimately parked the car in a garage and police found her hiding in a nearby bar.

A video after the accident shows the female driver arguing with witnesses to the crash.

The camera gets a close-up look at the front right tire that was twisted completely perpendicular during the crash.

The witnesses can be heard asking the woman to get out of her car and saying that there’s no way she’ll be able to drive away given the extensive damage.

The engine nonetheless does start and the woman peels out onto the street as smoke billows from her squeaking car.

The witnesses are stunned that she’s fled the scene but quickly decide to follow her. Several of them start running while others jump in another vehicle.

They follow the tire tracks left behind by her car down the street.
