A Change.org petition that garnered more than 85,000 signatures asking Maroon 5 to drop out of the Super Bowl is now asking the band, Travis Scott and Big Boi to take a knee during their February 3 sets. 

The petition was originally written up in November back when it was just speculation that the ‘Girls Like You’ crooners would headline Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta.

It had garnered 85,000 at the time but since then, the band has confirmed its participation and it has been announced that Travis Scott and Big Boi would be making appearances as well.

Since then, the petition has been updated to ask the acts to take a knee during the anthem, which would show solidarity with Colin Kaepernick. 

It has received roughly 3,350 more votes with the update.

Back in December, Variety reported that the Jay-Z was trying to talk Scott out of performing at the Super Bowl.

Jay-Z reportedly turned down the chance to perform at the 2017 Superbowl according to the lyrics for his 2018 Apes**t.’

Back in December, Variety reported that the seasoned rapper was trying to talk Scott out of performing at the Super Bowl.  

Amy Schumer has also come out and said she won’t appear in any Superbowl commercials in support of Kaepernick.
