Chinese woman runs into the bonnet of a stationary car

The hilarious moment a woman runs out in front of a stationary van in a bid to scam the driver out of compensation has been caught on camera.

The footage was caught on dashcam in Hong Kong and shows the driver of the van coming to a complete stop at an intersection before the woman charges into it.

It is believed the woman was attempting a ‘pengci scam’, where pedestrians pretended to be hit by a negligent driver.

In the footage the woman, who is carrying a suitcase, can be seen at a pedestrian crossing in the Kowloon Tong area.

The approaching van notices the woman and comes to a complete stop.

The woman then charges at the van, suitcase in hand, even as the vehicle is honking.  

She then slams into the van’s bonnet and falls to the ground.

The video attracted a number of comments. One Facebook user wrote: ‘She’s not going to get a call from Hollywood any time soon.’
