Chris Hemsworth’s private photos of his brother Liam’s secret wedding to Miley Cyrus accidentally ended up being sent to a Swedish tourist after a mix-up by an Australian photo shop.

Elvira Nordström, 21, had expected to receive photos from a recent road trip through New South Wales, but ended up with more than 200 photos meant for the Hollywood superstar.

Miss Nordström has today spoken of her shock when she saw the wedding photographs, but tells MailOnline she never considered sharing such a private moment and instead reached out to the Thor actor through social media.

It would appear that both Miss Nordström and Chris Hemsworth have a penchant for old-school analogue cameras and had handed in their rolls of film at a photo shop in Byron Bay, New South Wales.

Miss Nordström, who recently moved to Australia from Alvsbyn in northern Sweden, told MailOnline of her shock when she clicked on the link in her email from the shop and found 216 photos belonging to the actor.

As well as selfies of the Thor star himself, a majority of the photographs showed the intimate private wedding of his brother Liam Hemsworth and pop star Miley Cyrus.

Only a handful of photographs have been shared by the couple on social media, and their wedded bliss was only announced after the ceremony, which was held at the singer’s home in Tennessee on December 23.

Miley’s sister, Brandi Cyrus, later revealed in her podcast that guests had been told not to take photos of the ceremony to keep it as private as possible.

It seems that Chris Hemsworth failed to adhere to these instructions and took a large number of photos from the wedding – which nearly ended in disaster thanks to the photo shop staff’s mistake.

However, after Miss Nordström posted about her find on Instagram, she was put in touch with members of Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky’s family, and soon she had the actor himself on the phone.

Joy: The 21-year-old says the Hollywood actor was grateful she had not shared the photos

She says: ‘He was so grateful, he said several times how grateful he was that I hadn’t posted the pictures on social media or sold them to anyone.

‘It was completely unreal to hear his voice when I picked up, and you could really hear that he meant what he said.

Miss Nordström says it would not have felt right to share the photos – especially as she is a fan of Chris Hemsworth. She was asked to delete the email with the link to the photographs and says she complied.

However, she has been inundated with messages from both friends and strangers, with many asking why she didn’t make a quick buck or post the photos online herself.

‘A lot of people have been writing to me saying I should’ve sold them for lots of money. But it’s a nice feeling to know that I’m the exception, and it was lucky that the images ended up with me of all people.

‘I wouldn’t want to have hurting Chris Hemsworth on my conscience.’
