Concreter accused of child pornography granted bail

  • A man has been granted bail after being charged with having child pornography
  • Christopher Andrew Searle was found with a USB full of disturbing images
  • He was charged at Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday

A concreter accused of downloading child exploitation material of infants and dead toddlers had instructions on how to rape children without being caught, a court has heard.

Christopher Andrew Searle allegedly made full admissions to detectives when they uncovered a cache of disturbing images, including dead toddlers and infants being raped, on a USB stick and external hard drive.

The Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday heard the children featured in many of the images Searle is accused of accessing were aged between seven and 10, with the youngest only 18 months old.

Details of the abuse material are too disturbing to publish.

‘The images include images of deceased children – toddlers and infants – as well as instructions on how to rape those persons,’ police prosecutor Peri Cardiff said.

The 47-year-old has been charged with several offences including five counts of possessing child exploitation material.

He was granted conditional bail following a brief hearing.

As part of the terms of his release, he must stay off the internet and avoid children under 14-years-old, the court heard.

Searle is due to return to court on September 25.
