Damian Lewis films for series three of Billions in NYC

He has won critical acclaim for his role as the ambitious hedge-fund king Bobby Axelrod on Sky Atlantic’s Billions.

And Damian Lewis proved that filming for series 3 of the hit show was well underway, as he shot scenes with Maggie Siff in New York.

The 46-year-old British actor looked handsome in a casual ensemble as he filmed an intense conversation with the American beauty, 43, before he checked his phone during a quick break.

Damian looked suave in his navy button down shirt and skinny black wash jeans as he embarked on the shoot in the Big Apple.

He was joined by Maggie, who looked chic in an all-black ensemble, as they filmed an explosive confrontation.

Quite the acclaimed series, Billions boasted the highest ratings ever for an opening episode on the Showtime channel when it aired in the States, and became the most downloaded series from Sky Box Sets here in Britain.

Billions, an intoxicating mix of greed and glamour shot through with waspish one-liners and liberal doses of sex, had viewers hooked from the start.

Axelrod, outwardly a philanthropic billionaire, is secretly not averse to a little insider trading to increase his firm’s enormous wealth.

He’s locked in a game of cat and mouse with Paul Giamatti’s shrewd US Attorney Chuck Rhoades, who goes after Axelrod when evidence of the billionaire’s financial shenanigans turns up.

Caught in the middle is Rhoades’ wife Wendy, played by Maggie Siff, a psychiatrist who works for Bobby as the in-house performance coach and helped him build up his company long before her husband became US Attorney.

Meanwhile, Damian is madly in love with Helen McCory and the lovebirds exchanged their vows ten years ago in a romantic ceremony in July 2007.

They instantly hit it off while treading the boards of Five Gold Rings at London’s Almeida in 2003.

The celebrity couple now raise their two children, 10-year-old daughter Manon and nine-year-old son Gulliver, at their home in the capital.

They moved to Los Angeles in the late half of 2007 while Damian filmed NBC-TV crime drama Life but they moved back to north London in 2009.
