THAT was the idea of Keith being on the show. Popping up everywhere? Wow people I (love heart emoji) @lemontwittor so chill’.

Following the incident, eagle-eyed viewers had taken to Twitter, with some laughing at the joke while others took offence about it being aired pre-watershed.

One wrote: ‘What did Danny Miller do, behind Keith Lemon’s head, on LIVE TV?’

While another added: ‘Danny you did not just do that on live tv you little trouble maker’.

Another said: ‘You are truly a disgusting individual, making a tremendously offensive gesture on live TV where children can see. You truly disgust me. Funny that you beg for votes and yet do something so obscene. @emmerdale needs to discipline you, not promote you for awards.’

As Andrea McLean introduced what was coming up on the show, Keith stood in front of the camera shouting; ‘I’m on, me. I’m on.’

The Emmerdale actor then proceeded to make the cheeky hand gesture before changing it into a peace sign behind the comedian’s back.

Danny appeared on the show to talk about his nomination for Outstanding Serial Drama Performance for the National Television Awards.

He will face tough competition with Eastender’s Lacey Turner and Coronation’s Streets Barbara Knox and Lucy Fallon among the nominees.
