Donald Trump Jr and Kimberly Guilfoyle attend hunting and conservation gala in Dallas 

Donald Trump Jr and Kimberly Guilfoyle dressed to the nines for an event celebrating hunting and conservation on Wednesday night. 

The loved-up couple were in Dallas for the Weatherby Foundation International Hunting and Conservation Award Dinner. 

Don Jr appeared to be presenting an award at the dinner, taking to the podium and making jokes about selfies.

After posting a few videos of his speech without sound, Don Jr shared one part of his speech in which he talked about a ‘blue-collar electrician’. 

‘He saw a little bit of what I was able to be born into in the United States after my mother escaped from that country,’ Don Jr continued, referring to his mother Ivana Trump leaving communist Czechoslovakia. 

‘Tenacity, discipline, you’re not getting that on the couch playing video games, you’re getting that on the field,’ he continued.  

Kimberly also posted a clip from the event, sharing a video on her Instagram Story that showed the couple walking into the gala. 

Don Jr was dressed in a classic suit and bow tie while Kimberly opted for a long black gown with a boat neck cut and a large bow on the front.

Don Jr also shared an Instagram of the gala, which was held for the presentation of the Weatherby Hunting and Conservation Award

Wednesday’s gala was held for the presentation of the Weatherby Hunting and Conservation Award, which was given this year to Outdoor Channel star Jim Shockey. 

The annual award is given to an ‘individual for outstanding support of wildlife conservation, lifetime hunting achievement, and dedication to the principles of ethical sport hunting,’ according to the foundation’s website. 

Don Jr is an avid big game hunter, often posting about his outings on Instagram. 

But he was heavily criticized by animal rights advocates after photos showed him and brother Eric smiling broadly next to the dead carcasses of wild animals that they shot while on a hunt in Africa.

In one of the photos, Don Jr was pictured holding the sawed off tail of an elephant and also the knife that likely cut it. 

Wednesday’s event comes three days after the couple returned to New York following a weekend away with Don Jr’s children.  

Don Jr and Kimberly were flanked by secret service agents as they stepped out of a black SUV outside her New York apartment.

The President’s eldest son then turned back to blow a kiss to his children before they were driven away to their mother Vanessa’s house.

Vanessa filed for divorce from Trump Jr in March last year after 13 years of marriage. The pair have five children and are still finalizing their settlement.

Kimberly, who was working at Fox News when she began dating Trump but quit to join him on the campaign trail, was pictured wrapped up warm against the cold on Sunday night. 

She was partially hidden underneath a large woolen bobble hat, paired with a coat which had a large fur hood.

After saying goodbye to the children, the pair strolled inside her apartment.
