Eddie Irvine puts property on rental market for $180,000 per month

Formula One legend Eddie Irvine has put his lavish beachfront mansion in Miami, Florida, on the rental market for $180,000 (£136,000) a month.

The retired racing driver, 52, put the stunning property on the market earlier this year with a price tag of $21 million (£15.9 million), but has now opted to rent out the home after failing to make a sale.

As well as coming complete with two outdoor kitchens, a pool and a cinema room, the Miami Beach home – named Casa Ischia – boasts a dock big enough to handle a 130ft yacht, seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a movie theatre, wine cellar and even a lift to move between the two floors.

Casa Ischia sits behind security gates and Hibiscus Island is one of the Miami Beach’s most celebrated gated communities.

The huge 10,448-square-foot property, which was built in 2016, has water views, a chef’s kitchen and even a home cinema.

There are also seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a library, a bar, a wine cellar and a lift. Outside, there’s a swimming pool with a jacuzzi and a fire pit.

Boasting incredible panoramic views of the Floridian city, the mansion’s stunning pool looks out onto the water and is flanked by palm trees.

The mansion is the latest in a series of lucrative property deals for the retired driver, who also owns a Dublin pub. Three years ago he sold a 6,612 sq ft mansion in Miami Beach for £7.5million, after renting it out to international DJ David Guetta.

Irvine also has a private island in the Bahamas which he bought in 2010, and where he built an eco-friendly hexagonal wooden structure. He cheated death there four years later when a shark attacked him while he was diving.

At the time he said: ‘I turned to face it, not easy to do, and hit it with my spear. It turned away but came back as I reversed out of his territory. It was dusk – so I guess I deserved it a bit’, reports The Sun.
