Family of alleged sex captive visit R Kelly’s Atlanta home

R Kelly has been accused of keeping women against their will at his Atlanta home

The family of a woman allegedly being held as a ‘sex captive’ by singer R Kelly have called in the police as they descended on his home, it has been reported.

Video has emerged of Joycelyn Savage’s family at Kelly’s home in Atlanta, TMZ reports.

In the video her father, Tim, challenges the singer to come out and meet him.

The family claims that she is being held against her will, and were incensed when they were unable to see her.

It is understood that police joined Savage’s relatives as they made a welfare check on her.

The singer has been accused of holding women against their will, deciding when they can eat or use the bathroom. He denies the claims.

In the video, Tim said: ‘We are in front of R. Kelly’s house, we are trying to check on our daughter, Joycelyn Savage.’

And he continued: ‘If (Kelly is) a man, he need to let my daughter out. I told him, “If he ain’t come to me, I was going to come to him.”‘

Jocelyn's family said she began dressing differently and dropped out of college after meeting the star in 2015. They fear she is now 'brainwashed' by him but she says she is 'in a happy place'

Eventually they were able to connect with her on FaceTime, and she said she was fine.

A woman who answered the door had said she wasn’t home, TMZ reports.

It was revealed earlier this month that the family had hired attorneys Gerald A Griggs and Leif Howard in their effort to ‘seek the safe return’ of the 22-year-old.

Joycelyn went to live with the singer after she met him at a concert when she was 19.

Her family said they haven’t seen her in almost a year and told TMZ that they are concerned for her health and safety.

Griggs told the site that the attorneys plan to contact R Kelly’s representatives in an attempt to work together to bring Joycelyn back home.

But Joycelyn said just weeks ago that she was happy with her current living situation and demanded that her family to stop speaking to the press.

‘I am happy where I’m at and the people that I’m around, and it’s getting out of hand – seriously,’ Joycelyn said in a video released to TMZ. ‘Because honestly you know the situation that had happened on the night that I went to meet R Kelly.’

It comes just a week after a woman claimed she had underage sex with Kelly and entered an abusive relationship with him after meeting the singer outside his 2008 child pornography trial in Chicago when she was just 15 years old.

Jerhonda Johnson, who is now a 24-year-old mother-of-three claims the star controlled her life after embarking on a sexual relationship with him aged 16. The legal age of consent in Illinois is 17.

Johnson is currently suing the star who has previously made cash settlements to other women claiming they were mistreated by the singer.

She told Buzzfeed that Kelly is running a ‘cult’ and she is concerned that a friend of hers may still be involved.

She said: ‘If I can speak out and I can help them get out of that situation, that’s what I will do.

‘I didn’t have anybody to speak up on my behalf when I was going through what I was going through with him. He’s brainwashed them really bad, and it kind of reminds me of Charles Manson.’

‘I just really hope I can help these women out. Kelly needs to be stopped.’

According to Johnson, Kelly invited her back to his mansion in June 2009 when asked her to strip and pretend she was modelling. It was at this stage the sexual relationship between the pair began.

She told Buzzfeed that the relationship lasted seven months and many of the encounters were filmed on Kelly’s cell phone.
