The FBI is reportedly investigating a $150,000 payment Michael Cohen received last November from an aerospace company in South Korea.
The Washington Post reported on Wednesday that Korea Aerospace Industries paid Cohen for insight on US accounting law.
That arrangement has since sparked an alleged FBI probe.
According to the outlet, a man who said he served as a translator between the aerospace company and Cohen recently met with federal investigators about the payment Cohen received.

The translator, identified as Mark Ko, said his role in the transaction between the two parties was ‘small’. He also confirmed that Korea Aerospace Industries was interested in talking with Cohen about accounting matters.
Ko told the Post that he was not sure if the FBI investigation was part of special counselor Robert Mueller’s team, which is investigating alleged ties to Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.
The South Korean company is one of many firms believed to have paid Cohen, Trump’s personal lawyer, large sums of money for consulting work.
In leaked documents detailing Cohen’s financial activities, Swiss drug company Novartis and AT&T were revealed to have paid Cohen for insight on how to approach the Trump administration.
