Two brave fishermen have reeled in a massive shark from a Sydney river.

Photos of the men showing off the 3.5 metre catch were uploaded to Facebook on Wednesday.  

The caption reads: ‘Caught today picnic point. This time bigger than the last post mid December… this one 3.5 metre bull. Approx 150kgs. They are there right under your noses people.’

The images have attracted a number of comments.

‘Always been sharks in the river there and all along it I lived at Revesby Heights growing up there,’ one Facebook user wrote.

‘Horses and dogs have been taken at the same spot over the years.’

Another said: ‘I thought people only caught crabs at Revesby Beach’

It is the second bull shark caught at the river in only two months.
