A five-car pileup in Sydney’s west has brought peak-hour traffic to a standstill. 

Commuters were hit with long delays after the crash between the M4 and Great Western Highway, in Minchinbury, this morning. 

In Carlingford, East-bound lanes were closed following an accident on the M2.

In the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, one lane was closed due to a broken down car. 

A bus break down on the Princes Highway at Wolli Creek held up traffic as well as a couple of accidents in Bexley at Stoney Creek Road and Bexley Road. 

Live Traffic Sydney reports that many lanes have been re-opened but traffic congestion is likely to continue and commuters are warned to allow extra travel time.
