A Florida motorist trying to elude police didn’t get too far when he bailed out of his pickup truck. That’s because his pants fell to his ankles as he was running away.

Tobias Smith, 24, crashed into another vehicle, a power pole, a fence and a barber shop as he sped away from police during an attempted traffic stop on Tuesday.

Smith was to be pulled over during a traffic stop for allegedly turning into a parking lot off West International Speedway Boulevard in Daytona Beach, Florida. He had been attempting to avoid traffic.

The man was driving a black, four-door 2014 Toyota sedan.

He then was said to have sped down several roads in an effort to ditch the officer and was said to have sped up to 60mph in 25mph speed limit areas, a police report details.

He would soon hit a another vehicle before slamming into a light pole and then crashing into Nu-Looks Barbershop off Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard.

While there were folks inside the barbershop, no one was reported as being injured.

Smith immediately ran ran but was quickly captured when his pants fell down.

The driver of the other vehicle was said to have been complaining of chest pain and asked to be taken to Halifax Hospital.

Damages to his vehicle totaled approximately $10,000 and for the barber shop, $3,000.

Checking Smith’s license plate tags, police discovered that the tag actually belonged to a two-door, red Chevy vehicle.

Smith was also found to not have a driver’s license, having had it revoked last December for fleeing and eluding.

He’s charged with leaving the scene of a crash, fleeing and eluding, driving with a suspended license and resisting arrest. A lawyer isn’t listed on jail records.

Police noted that Smith was already out on bond for several other charges.
