Footballer claims Premier League star tried to rape her

A professional female footballer has claimed a married Premier League star tried to rape her in a posh London hotel room.

Alexandra Nord, who was a striker for QPR Ladies, said she woke to find the man was naked lying next to her in the bed in 2012.

She claims she met the footballer in a nightclub in Mayfair, London, and that he tried to woo her with his flash Lamborghini which was parked outside.

The Swedish footballer, 25, said she went to a hotel in South Kensington, London, with him to sober up and claimed she passed out in the room.

Writing on her blog, she said she felt compelled to open up about what happened following the #metoo campaign, which was launched in the wake of the Harvey Weinsten sexual assault scandal.

She claims she met the footballer on a number of occasions at the same nightclub and that one night he persuaded her to go back to a hotel.

Ms Nord even claims that after the alleged incident, the footballer’s ‘manager’ contacted her asking her to keep quiet about the evening.

She added she felt ‘ashamed’ and ‘angry’ following the incident in 2012 and said it took her two years before she told anyone about it.

Ms Nord said: ‘It took two years before I started talking about the event, especially for friends.

‘I often also do not tell the whole truth when I’m afraid that especially guys will talk badly about me and call me things.’

Describing the night, she added: ‘I woke up early in the morning and the guy had body parts on parts of my body where they can absolutely not be without my permission.

‘My first reaction was anger, then I was ashamed and thought maybe I had agreed to something? I do not remember everything I said and did the night before.

‘What I remember though is that I never wanted to end up in this situation, but after all, I had tried to get rid of this guy several times before and even if I had occasionally sent out signals indicating something else, I did not give him ANY right to touch my body without my permission.’

She wrote that the footballer, who she ‘wasn’t attracted to’, Googled himself and then the pair started talking about the sport and they ‘found a common interest’.
