Former rising rugby league star Ethan Clarke has been re-charged with the murder of Greg Dufty, a father from the Gold Coast.
Initially a court found that there was not enough evidence to show he was allegedly involved in the murder, but the 22-year-old will now face court on a fresh murder charge on December 18.
Gold coast father Greg Dufty was last seen on July 6, 2015 and his body has never been found.

Police believe he was murdered over a drug debt and his body burnt over a period of time at a suspected burial site in northern NSW, reports Gold Coast Bulletin.
Bandidos bikie Lionel Patea, 24, his brother Nelson Patea, 22, cousin Aaron Crawford, 27, Clinton Stockman, 28, and Liam Bliss have also been charged in relation to Mr Dufty’s death.
Ethan had a rich history of playing rugby league in Queensland prior to his charge.
Four years ago, he was a front rower in the Mal Meninga Cup under-18s state rugby league competition, qualifying for the grand final.
He also played one trial game for the Runaway Bay Seagulls last year and is believed to have played irregularly for the Southern Dingoes in the Murri Rugby League in recent years.
