But with divorce proceedings now underway, former Today show weatherman Steve Jacobs and his ex Rosie are settling back into their separate lives in Sydney.
Steve, 51, was seen looking rather downcast on Wednesday while shopping for items to furnish his new home: a humble apartment in a residential unit in Bondi.

The father-of-two, who dressed in a white T-shirt and hoodie, failed to raise a smile as he pushed his trolley through a parking lot before driving back to his apartment.
The Sydney flat is a rather dramatic change of scenery for Steve who, prior to his separation, was living in a luxury home in picturesque Port Vila.
Last week, Steve’s estranged wife Rosie revealed she was returning to Sydney with their daughters, Isabella, seven, and Francesca, five, to ‘restart a life in Australia’.

It’s unclear whether Rosie will return to the former couple’s $2.55million mansion in Coogee, after they leased out the property for $3,500 a week while living abroad.
In March, a source close to Rosie and Steve claimed they had ‘grown in different directions’ and split several months after moving overseas.
‘They want different things in life now,’ a friend told Daily Mail Australia in March.

Rosie’s split with Steve came after she took out an ex parte AVO against her husband earlier this year, which is no longer in place.
Following their breakup, she began dating Canadian former commando Dylan Nash, 32, but their fling ended after two months.

Steve’s new ‘quiet’ apartment is vastly different to his idyllic former home in Vanuatu and, despite its Bondi location, offers no view of the beach.
The Channel Nine star owned The Boat House in Port Vila, and had previously rented it out to holidaymakers for more than $360 per night.
The two-bedroom holiday home boasts rustic decor, a private outdoor shower and an exclusive beachfront deck with ocean views.

They married three years later in an intimate ceremony in Bali, Indonesia.
It is unclear when problems in their marriage began, but sourced have claimed their relationship was already strained by the time they moved to Vanuatu early last year.
