It was a Being Mary Jane reunion as the ladies of the BET series joined Gabrielle Union for her spring New York and Company photoshoot on Friday in Tribeca.
This is Union’s third collection with the women’s fashion brand. The ‘chic, versatile, and flattering,’ line is for ‘real women who like to eat on occasion,’ the 45-year-old actress said in an interview with Vogue.
The Omaha native is also in the midst of a book tour for her newest bestseller We’re Going to Need More Wine.

Gabrielle arrived sans makeup and her hair was naturally styled underneath a black baseball cap. She sauntered onto the set in a long patterned sleep dress.
She was all smiles despite the early hour.

Gabrielle was accompanied by her Being Mary Jane lady co-stars for the day: Lisa Vidal, Margaret Avery, and Raven Goodwin. They joined her in modeling the Gabrielle Union NY&Co. spring collection.
The hit BET series will come to an end in 2018 with a two-hour special finale in place of a complete fifth season.

In her conversation with Vogue, the Bring It On vet, said that her husband was an inspiration for the collection.
‘You want to serve looks,’ she said. ‘I want my husband to look at that ass. I want the material to lift and I don’t want you to see what I ate today.’
Union is also the face of New York and Company’s 7th Avenue collection that is heavily inspired by her character Mary Jane.
