Gemma Collins jokes she may sue BBC for her onstage fall

She experienced the ‘best and worst moment of her life’ when she fell through a trap door onstage in front of 12,000 people, at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards on Sunday.

But Gemma Collins discussed the fallout of the incident on Monday – confessing she had been left with a ‘bruised bum’, and that the Love Island stars she crashed into had to see paramedics after the incident.

Calling in to This Morning, the TOWIE star, 36, admitted the tumble was ‘hilarious’ – but acknowledged it ‘could have been fatal’, and hinted she may even sue the BBC.

Gemma was left red-faced after she fell down a trap door at London’s Wembley Arena, and landed on Love Island stars Jamie Jewitt, Amber Davies and Marcel Somerville – who were preparing to claim their award onstage.

While she admitted she found the experience ‘hilarious’, the star revealed she had almost ‘wiped out’ the ITV2 stars – and could have left them seriously injured.

She explained to Ben Shepherd and Amanda Holden of the fall: ‘I must say I’m in a bit of shock. I found the whole experience hilarious but I’m in a bit of pain this morning, I’m not going to lie.

‘The three Love Island guys were coming up and I just wiped them out! They had to go and see paramedics,’ before adding: ‘The poor girl [Amber] there was nothing of her – she nearly got totally crushed!’

Despite laughing off the incident on social media, Gemma did acknowledge how lucky she had been – as her injuries could have been much more severe.

‘It could have been fatal,’ she revealed. ‘Under there there’s so much machinery going on.

I'm so sorry! Speaking of Amber (L), she added: 'The poor girl, there was nothing of her - she nearly got totally crushed!'

She continued: ‘I don’t think I’m ever going to live it down… when there’s a blame, there’s a claim!

Sources claimed the pair ‘still mean a lot to each other’ and now that James is back on the series there’s plenty of opportunity for them to ‘officially reunite’.

The pair’s relationship has been tense since Gemma revealed she tried to ‘trap’ James into getting her pregnant when they had steamy sex in Marbella last year.

An episode earlier this month saw an enraged Arg, 29, still seething over Gemma’s public confession about sleeping with him, declaring to the lads that he has no interest in rekindling their relationship.

But sources claimed the cast were desperate for them to give things another go.

Dan Edgar and James ‘Diags’ Bennewith reportedly question Arg over his feelings while Chloe Sims asks Gemma if there’s any chance of a reunion.

‘The entire cast want Gemma and Arg to give their romance another go,’ a TV source told The Sun. ‘There’s a lot more opportunity for them to officially reunite now that James has re-joined the cast.

‘Speculation is rife that something between them has already gone on – with them both filming together in Ireland.

Insiders close to the show added that with the pair filming so closely on the show, their chemistry is undeniable to their co-stars.

‘They still mean a lot to each other, that is clear to everyone,’ the source said.
