College football is king in the South, and one Georgia Bulldogs fan wanted to loudly remind his neighbors of his favorite team’s supremacy – via a microphone and loudspeaker system.

In a video posted to Facebook that’s gotten nearly 2 million views,  Georgia fan identified as Jon Gloer proudly announced the Bulldogs victory to his Auburn fan neighbors early in the morning in his pajama pants over a PA system.

Gloer was a walk-on member of Georgia’s 1980 national championship football team – his son Chad also played for the team.

Last weekend, Georgia defeated Auburn in the Southeastern Conference Championship Game 28-7 at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The win earned Georgia a spot in the College Football Playoff, which gives them a chance to win the national title.

‘Go Dawgs!’ Gloer shouted over the PA system, the rallying cry for the university’s sports teams. Gloer’s Facebook states he’s a graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens.

Gloer’s message to his neighbors was loud and clear.

‘We’d like to congratulate the Georgia Bulldogs on their fine SEC victory last night – I’d like to say Go Dawgs to my neighbors the Faulkners – it’s 8′ o’clock on a Sunday morning and I wanted to see if you could give us a shoutout!’

The cameraperson and poster of the video, Jon’s wife can be heard whispering ‘Jon!’ and laughing when he exclaims ‘Go Dawgs!’ over the microphone.

The video’s comments largely echoed support for Gloer from fellow fans.

One commenter said, ‘That was great!! I never heard an answer from your neighbor’s house! GO DAWGS!!!’

An Auburn fan even got in on the conversation, giving Gloer credit for his display.

‘I’m an Auburn fan and that’s just funny. I’ve got a couple folks that I could see that would do something similar to me and I too them if they had trash talked too much after that last game,” another commenter said.
