Georgie Thomas loses 25 kilos by increasing calories

Georgie Thomas tried every type of mainstream diet available to shed extra kilos.

But because the 26-year-old from Adelaide was ‘petrified’ of the gym, she instead reduced the amount of calories she was consuming in an effort to slim down.

This, as the exercise physiologist has since discovered, was not an adequate way of keeping the weight off long term.

At her heaviest she was 82 kilos and wearing a size 14.

'When I first tried lose weight in my first year of uni I tried Body Trim, Lite and Aasy and then as I finished Human Movement and went into Exercise Physiology I tried to do things by the book and do full clean eating and exercise more to reach my goals,' she wrote on Instagram

She admitted being 'skeptical as all s***' to begin with, but was desperate to find something that would stick - particularly as her profession involved helping other people lose weight

‘Three-and-a-half years later and I have been following the same program and I can tweak it when I need to. After so many years I’m still following it which goes to show it’s a real lifestyle change. I don’t have to stress anymore, I don’t need to look for the next best thing, I’m eating more than I ever have and I feel freaking good,’ she said.

While she was previously eating carbohydrate-rich takeaway foods, and a mere 1,200 calories, Miss Thomas managed to shrink her size dramatically by eating wholefoods and 1,500-1,800 calories a day
