Under-fire AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has hit back at supporters after they produced a scathing banner that told the 18-year-old: ‘It’s time to leave.’

Donnarumma was reduced to tears in the Milan dressing room after supporters unveiled the brutal message in Milan’s comfortable 3-0 Coppa Italia victory over Verona on Wednesday night.

But on Thursday the keeper responded with a message of his own, writing on Instagram: ‘I never said in writing that I had suffered moral violence when I signed the contract.’

‘Despite everything I look forward and head to the next game… Forza Milan!’

The banner, stretching across three whole sections of the San Siro, took a cruel dig at the keeper’s ‘parasite’ brother, as well as insisting their patience had run out.

It read: ‘Psychological violence by giving you €6million-a-season & signing your parasite brother? It’s time to leave…our patience with you is over!’

The message not only stunned the teenager, but left him distraught in the dressing room, with captain Leonardo Bonucci attempting to console the tearful youngster.

The reports coming from Italy’s Gazetta dello Sport on Tuesday revealed the goalkeeper was ready to quit the Rossoneri and asked his agent to cancel the deal he signed only last summer, claiming he was forced into the agreement.

According to the reports, Donnarumma is looking to activate a clause in his new deal that could see his contract ‘annulled’.

With the speculation circulating, it has been claimed Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are lying in wait to swoop for the reportedly unsettled keeper.
