Giants fan ejected from 49ers game to face felony charges

A Giants fan who was forcibly ejected from a 49ers game during the fourth quarter in a bloody confrontation with police will face felony charges.

Patrick Flynn, 29, from Brighton, Massachusetts, was forcibly removed by seven officers from a 49ers game in Santa Clara, California, on Sunday.

Flynn was arrested on suspicion felony battery on a police officer resulting in injury and resisting arrest, Santa Clara police Capt. Wahid Kazem told NBC Bay Area.

He is also accused of two misdemeanor counts of battery on a police officer.

Two other fans were arrested along with Flynn, including his brother.

Kyle Flynn, 26, was arrested on suspicion of one misdemeanor count each of being drunk in public and obstruction of justice.

Lauren Alcatraz, 29, was arrested on suspicion of a misdemeanor count of obstruction of justice.

The group of fans had allegedly been given a warning about their unruly behavior earlier in the game.

Officers arrived to escort them out of their seats, which they refused.

The scuffle caused Flynn and another officer to fall over the railing.

Flynn appeared to continue fighting with the officers and resisting arrest, resulting in police using a Taser on him.

‘Their actions were determined to be in violation of the stadium’s code of conduct policy,’ Kazem said.
