The company is reportedly working on a fitness app called ‘Google Coach’ that would help users stay active and provide reminders throughout the day, according to Android Police.

It would collect information about your activity and health, then use it to recommend workouts and provide tips, as well as track your progress over time.

The feature, which is being referred to as ‘Project Wooden’ internally, will also keep track of your nutrition and recommend foods.

It could even look at your calendar data to make meal plans.

Notifications would be streamlined so that users receive multiple alerts at once, such as suggestions to drink more water, complete more daily steps and more.

Google Coach is expected to be targeted to Wear OS, a version of Google’s Android operating system that’s tailored for smartwatches and other wearables.

Earlier this year, noted leaker Evan Blass said Google is expected to release a new Google smartwatch this fall alongside the new Pixel 3 smartphone.

The watches are reportedly codenamed ‘Ling’, ‘Triton’ and ‘Sardine’.
