Hitchhiker is raped at gunpoint by 2 women in South Africa

  • Man, 25, was hitchhiking in north South Africa when women picked him up
  • Victim says the two women drugged him and raped him at gunpoint
  • He claims that after the attack they dumped him by a nearby town
  • The attack has similarities to rapes carried out by women in Zimbabwe

A 25-year-old man has been hospitalised after allegedly being drugged and raped by two women in northeast South Africa.

The man had been hitchhiking in Polokwane, Limpopo province when he was picked up by two middle-aged women who offered him a lift

However, after a short drive, the women allegedly pulled out a gun and forced him to drink an ‘unknown substance’ before gang-raping him.

The man claims that the women then drove him to the neabry town of Tzaneen, where they dumped him by the side of the road.

‘After the ordeal, it is alleged they drove further with the victim and dropped him off in a secluded area near Tzaneen CBD, where he proceeded to the Tzaneen Police Station and reported the matter,’ Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe told Capricorn Voice.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is currently in a ‘serious condition’ the newspaper wrote on its website.

Limpopo province borders Zimbabwe, where police recently investigated a ‘semen bandit’ gang, who carried out similar attacks to sell their victims’ sperm for ‘good luck’.

In July a 39-year-old teacher was kidnapped, drugged and sexually assaulted at gunpoint by a gang of three women who had offered him a lift as he waited at a bus stop in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe.

In February, another teacher who was on his way to Bulawayo, southwest Zimbabwe, was kidnapped, drugged and gang-raped by four women.

Last year, three other women reportedly stole a man’s semen after forcing him to have sex with them during an abduction in Bulawayo.

In 2011, three women were arrested after picking up men on a road between Gweru and Harare. Police found 31 condoms full of semen, believed to have been intended for ritual purposes, when they were stopped at a road block.
