Harrowing dascham footage captured the moment a cyclist was struck by a car while crossing an intersection in Chicago. 

The 32-year-old man was apparently attempting to ride through a red light when he was hit by a car.

The impact sent him flying in the air, over the car’s roof, and then he landed several feet away.

The video shows emergency responders arriving several minutes later. The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

He was struck at the intersection of Roosevelt and Halsted near the University of Illinois at Chicago on July 18.

The driver of the car was a 22-year-old woman. She remained at the scene and was not cited with anything.

Six cyclists were killed in crashes in Chicago last year. Seven people died in 2015.
