A kangaroo is currently recovering as it was viciously attacked by two dogs just after being saved from a waterway.
The creature endured a rough morning as Queensland emergency services were called to retrieve the kangaroo from the water.
An image shows the marsupial’s head poking up as it was stuck behind the Sandgate’s seawall in Brisbane, as the tide was high.
QLD Fire and Emergency services were alerted to the kangaroo being stuck behind the seawall
Queensland fire and emergency services managed to save the roo, quickly hopping into action once alerted.
They teamed with Queensland Police to lift the animal out of the water and over the seawall.
‘Luckily, Skippy still has a few friends ever true, and our Sandgate crew were able to work with @QldPolice to successfully help this little guy free,’ emergency services posted to Twitter.
The kangaroo was deemed healthy by emergency services before it hopped away and into the bush.
