The hunt is on for the cruel thugs who shot a horse with two arrows causing it to die.

Pearly, the 19-year-old Haflinger mare, was found at an equestrian club in Darwin with two arrows piercing the side of her body.

Fannie Bay Equestrian Club shared the sickening photos to Facebook saying Pearly was a ‘gentle and well loved pony’ who taught a number of children to ride.

Pearly (pictured) received emergency surgery but died Wednesday night because the arrows were too long and caused severe internal damage

‘This horrible sight greeted one of our young members,’ the club wrote on social media.

‘[We] are shocked and horrified that someone could be so cruel, evil and stupid.

‘This idiot is dangerous.’
