A desperate search is underway for a missing 14-year-old girl who hasn’t been since Thursday afternoon in Melbourne. 

Georgia Watson was last seen at 1:30 near her school in Sunshine West on Glengala Road. 

Her family and officers are worried for her safety and say her disappearance is out of character.

Police have released an image of Georgia and are appealing to the public to help locate her.

Georgia is described as Caucasian, 170cm tall, slim build and light brown hair. 

She was wearing a blue Adidas jumper with white hoodie attached, black leggings and black Nike sneakers. 

The school girl is known to spend time in the Melton and Sunshine areas.
