I’m A Celeb: Dennis, Amir and Jamie are ‘bullying’ Iain

He has been accused of ‘bullying’ his fellow campmate Iain Lee by I’m A Celebrity viewers.

And coming under fire once more for his behaviour towards the comedian, Dennis Wise found himself slammed by fans of the show after clashing with Iain in a heated spat about the latest Bushtucker Trial in Wednesday night’s episode of the show.

The former footballer, 50, spoke out against Iain’s wishes to tackle the trial and told his co-star that he didn’t think he was the best choice for the job and he didn’t want to go without any dinner.

Iain threw his name into the ring for Tutankha-Doom, the latest challenge comprising a network of underground tunnels filled with critters.

He revealed that he was keen to take on the trial, but made sure to address Jamie Lomas’ wishes to take part too. While Stanley Johnson initiated a discussion on which campmate would be best, Dennis was quick to share his opinion.

He said: ‘My only problem – and I’ll be honest with you Iain – is that you’ve said, “Get me out of here,” twice and what I don’t want is to have no dinner.’

When a campmate utters the words, ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here,’ they can be instantly ejected from a Bushtucker Trial.

Fighting his corner, Iain pointed out that he had been triumphant in one trial and won the camp 11 stars, but Dennis pressed: ‘I get that… But twice out of the three you’ve done, you failed.’

‘If you come back with nothing, everyone will be upset,’ Dennis warned.

Taking offence, Iain hit back: ‘I get it, you don’t want me to do it, I withdraw my offer, does that mean I can’t do any trials for the rest of the run then? Is that what you’re saying, because that feels a little bit unfair.’

‘Well Iain, the problem is you’ve gone a couple of times and you’ve come back with nothing, so that causes me a slight issue,’ Dennis fired back in response, before becoming irked by his campmate.

He insisted that he was entitled to his opinion and when Iain decided to retract his offer to take on the trial, an annoyed Dennis said: ‘I’m allowed that thought process so please don’t throw that back at me.

Clashing: Dennis pointed out Iain's previous failures when it comes to the trials, with Iain hitting back that it was 'unfair' to suggest he couldn't take part

‘Don’t try and make me look bad, don’t play a game with me… I’m telling you now don’t play a game with me.’

In the Bush Telegraph, Iain admitted he had felt ‘humiliated’ by Dennis for bringing up his past failures, while Dennis insisted: ‘Nothing would please me more for Iain to come back with loads of stars, but you don’t want to come back with nothing.’

Instead, Jamie was voted in to take on the trial and went on to win 6 out of 7 stars for camp. He claimed that Iain would have ‘struggled’ with the challenge. He told the comedian: ‘It would have been a tough one for you.’

While Iain and Dennis managed to make amends following their spat, both were seen seen reflecting on the altercation later in the episode.

While Iain confessed: ‘I’m so not an alpha male or laddy lad, but I want people to like me,’ Dennis told Amir Khan: ‘I just felt he was trying to make me feel bad, I didn’t want to be rude.

‘Maybe it came across in the wrong manner, I tried not to be rude about it, it was nothing malicious or nasty, I just said what I thought.’

However, he was called out by fans for targeting Iain yet again, with many accusing Dennis of being ‘nasty’ to his campmate. They penned: ‘Dennis needs to go he is being unnecessarily nasty to Iain.

‘Dennis moans and complains a lot, stop picking on Iain when he’s not in the wrong fs.

‘This is not in any way fair at all. The producers should step in #ImACelebrity

‘”Don’t cut people down Iain” ok Dennis so it’s fine for you Jamie and Amir to be absolute a**holes to him but he can’t stick up for himself? Disgraceful.

‘You don’t need Iain to make you look bad Dennis you’re doing quite well on your own!

‘Bless Iain he has done literally nothing wrong, can’t grown adults just be kind to him?

‘Dennis. Can he not hear himself, making someone feel small and then turn it round like he’s getting spoken down to.’

Others, however, were quick to jump to Dennis’ defence and suggested they would have done the same in his situation, given that it could have resulted in no food for camp.

Viewers tweeted: ‘Arghrrr Iain is is a nightmare to be around. Well done @denniswise for trying to get his point across.

‘Oh and here are the bullying comments again. When people don’t get on with each other it doesn’t mean the weaker one is being bullied!

‘Tbf I wouldn’t want him to do the trials either if my dinner depended on it… the rice and beans look vile.’

Dennis’ clash with Iain comes after he found himself being accused of ‘bullying’ the star by viewers. He, Amir and Jamie came under fire following a conversation they’d had on Tuesday, where they spoke away from camp about Dennis’ latest Bushtucker Trial that Iain had previously struggled with.

The former footballer accused Iain of embellishing about the difficulty of the challenge, but the comments made left viewers at home feeling ‘uncomfortable’ and many were quick to call out the trio for singling out Iain.

Prior to completing his trial, Dennis had spoken with Iain about the challenge that he had previously endured, with his campmate giving the sports star the heads up about what it entails.

However, on his triumphant return back to camp with all eight stars, Dennis told pals Amir and Jamie that it wasn’t as bad as Iain had made it out to be. He said: ‘They gave me 10 minutes and I did it in five… there’s no way it was 3 metres deep, it was 1.5.’

‘So it wasn’t 3 metres then?’ Jamie asked in response, with Dennis insisting it hadn’t been.

Amir was then seen telling the camera: ‘It sounds like Iain has a lot of problems.’ He had previously been criticised by viewers for putting all the blame on Iain for strawberry-gate.

He had encouraged Iain to eat all the strawberries before sharing them with camp, but was later seen passing the blame onto his campmate as he insisted it had all been Iain’s idea – not his.

Commenting on the hush-hush conversation that took place between the trio, viewers penned via Twitter: ‘#ImACeleb Amir, Jamie and Dennis showing their true colours. Spiteful and ignorant. At least Iain knows when his children’s birthdays are! Ant & Dec have their measure!

‘Amir, Dennis & Jamie are like the group of b***hy girls at school who thought they were the dogs b*****ks!

‘Iain is being BULLIED in that camp by Amir, Jamie and Dennis. you can see his face is sad, he’s not playing any games, they are. he’s being pushed out of the main group because he’s not like them and it’s not right. I feel sorry for him. they’re ruining his experience.

‘Although Iain can be annoying I don’t like the way that Amir,Dennis and even Jamie talk about him sometime. Feels like they think they are better or superior to him. Just because they may be considered more “manly” #ImACeleb.

‘Very quickly gone off Dennis, Jamie and Amir. Who gives a f**k how deep it is!? Iain was just trying to give you a heads up and you talk behind his back like that? You bunch of c***s. Iain or Toff to win!!

‘Why are Amir, Jamie, and Dennis finding everyway they can to bully Iain? Disgraceful #ImACeleb.

MailOnline have contacted representatives for Dennis, Amir and Jamie.

Their latest conversation aimed at Iain came after Dennis was see coming face-to-face with crocodiles, water dragons and eels in the latest Bushtucker Trial titled Temple of Gloom.

Dennis – who survived the first vote-off of the series after winning immunity as part of the secret society Fright Club – was left sweating as a small crocodile jumped towards his face while he climbed through underwater vents.

The claustrophobic task saw the sports star dive into a pool of water, before swimming into narrow vents to attempt to collect eight stars in 10 minutes.

While some vents saw Dennis completely submerged in water, others created air pockets allowing the star to catch his breath as he furiously collected stars for camp.

Not alone in the vent, Dennis was joined at first by water dragons and spiders before he faced his reptile nemesis. Not fazed by the critters, however, Dennis successfully retrieved all eight stars for camp.

Although, not getting through the challenge without a fright, Dennis hilariously exclaimed: ‘Oh Jesus, what the f*** have you got? Get out of it!’ when a crocodile snapped its jaw in front of him.

Meanwhile, Dennis’ height has been a recurring joke on the show since the series began and unable to resist poking fun once more, Dec told him as he made his way through the chambers: ‘You’re the perfect size for this one.’

Crediting his small stature for helping him with the task, Dennis insisted it was ‘suited to him’ because he is ‘small’. He then pointed at Dec and suggested that the same could be said for him, with Dec replying: ‘You leave me out of it!’

Ant joked that he felt like a ‘giant’ stood next to the pair, with Dec jokingly teasing that he was going to ‘smash Dennis’ face in’ for commenting on his height.
