Inside the $45million luxury penthouse set to smash the city’s sale records

The stunning penthouse in the proposed Muse building on St Kilda Road is set to be Melbourne’s most expensive apartment with an asking price of $45 million.

The palatial inner-city pad, developed by Devitt Property Group, will be unlike anything Melbourne has seen before and is expected to blow past the $25million asking price of Southbank’s under-construction Australia 108 tower penthouse.

Plans for the upcoming residence by Bruce Henderson Architects show that apartment will feature four bedrooms – each with its own bathroom – an elaborate master suite, a home theatre, billiard room, gym, steam room and a study.

The luxury pad comes with six-star fittings designed to appeal to the deep-pocketed buyer, including a marble kitchen island, wine fridges, home automation technology, a spiral staircase, and self-cleaning toilets worth $33,000 each.

BHA director John Scaramuzzino told realestate.com.au the luxury pad features both formal and informal dining areas that are perfect for parties and entertaining.

‘It’s been laid out for a buyer to hold cocktail parties and functions,’ he said.

‘But that doesn’t mean the whole space can’t be redesigned.’

He added the penthouse has a private entrance, connected to a lobby and lift, through an oversized garage designed to fit up to nine luxury vehicles.
