Jaime King plays soccer with her sons and Kyle Newman

Jaime King was one stylish soccer mom as she took her young sons for a kick around in the park on Sunday.

The actress wasn’t afraid to get stuck in as she and husband Kyle Newman engaged their boys for a family game.

Two-year-old Leo and big brother James, four, joined in the fun with enthusiasm, running around in the sunshine with mom and dad.

For her family day Jaime wore a pair of jeans and a knitted blue sweater, leaving her blonde hair loose.

She showed her sporty side as she tackled filmmaker Kyle, who she wed in 2007.

The happy family scenes come two years after little Leo successfully underwent life-saving heart surgery as a baby.

The youngster was diagnosed with Transposition of the Great Arteries, or TGA, at 20 weeks of age. His surgery means he should live a full and healthy life.

Jaime has talked openly of her and Kyle’s struggle to become parents, her difficult pregnancies and her subsequent battle with severe postpartum depression.

The 38-year-old suffers from both endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome.

She said previously: ‘I had countless miscarriages and almost lost my children.

‘I thought that because my womb didn’t work the way I was taught it should work, I was broken. When I was told I couldn’t carry a child, it crushed me in a way that was so much deeper than I could explain.’

She told Galore magazine: ‘I had severe postpartum depression… The judgment of yourself as a mother is consistent.’

Meanwhile working mom Jaime, 38, has been cast in Escape Plan 3, with the news of her return revealed before the second movie in the trilogy has hit the big screen.

The Hart Of Dixie star has taken on the part of Abigail Ross, originally played by Amy Ryan and will appear in the upcoming prison-break action sequel, and now she’s set to reprise the role in the planned sequel.
