Janel Parrish is engaged to longtime love Chris Long

Janel Parrish is engaged to her longtime boyfriend Chris Long.

The 28-year-old Pretty Little Liars star took to her Instagram on Monday morning to announce that her beau had popped the question.

The big moment came when Janel and Chris took their dog Klee for a walk in Toronto, Canada.

In the announcement the actress – best known for her character Mona Vanderwaal – could be seen showing off the new sparkler on her left ring finger as she kissed her longtime partner on the lips.

No doubt it was a touching moment as both could be seen smiling as they went in for a kiss in the self-taken snapshot. 

Along with the image, Janel wrote: ‘Went to the park for a stroll with Klee and came back with a fiancé. I get to marry my best friend and I’m over the moon. I love you @c_long.’

Chris also shared the same snap but with the simple caption: ‘Locked it up.’ 

Her new piece of jewelry was quite impressive as it featured a huge cushion cut diamond and an 18K rose gold and platinum band from Jean Dousset.

Janel later posted a video of her showing off the new bling as she moved her hand so her nearly five million followers could see it sparkle.

She captioned the short clip: ‘I can’t stop staring at it. I mean… @jeandousset you out did yourself And @c_long you did GOOD.’

The stunning actress is currently in Toronto  as she stars as Sandra Dee in a live version of Glee directed by Josh Prince.

It seems as if she Janel has been dating Chris for just over a year as he posted a selfie featuring the both of them with the caption ‘Year one down’ on September 3.

 The American actress starred in all seven seasons of Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars.

No doubt it is an exciting time in Janel’s life as she has five upcoming projects that are either completed or are in post-production including drama Tiger alongside veteran actor Mickey Rourke.

She will also be reprising her PLL role alongside Sasha Pieterse, 21, for a spin-off series titled Pretty Little Liars: The Perefectionists.
