Japanese tourism advert pulled for being ‘too sexy’

A bizarre Japanese tourism advert filled with explicit innuendos has been pulled for being ‘too sexy.’

The video, uploaded to YouTube in July, was intended to promote the Miyagi Prefecture, around 200 miles north of Tokyo.

The strange clip shows the actress Mitsu Dan – who is known for playing sexually provocative roles – wearing a kimono and caressing the head of a large rice ball mascot.

She says to the character, ‘Miyagi, I-cha-u?’ which can be interpreted as ‘let’s go to Miyagi,’ however, the word ‘ichau’ also means ‘to ejaculate,’ according to IBT.

In a later scene, the model and actress can be seen riding on the back of a flying turtle after asking, ‘Can I get on top of you?’

The turtle blushes and its head grows in size. In Japanese, the word for ‘turtle head’ – ‘kamegashira’ – can also be read as ‘glans’ in English.

The clip, which has been viewed more than 4 million times, has so far received hundreds of complaints.

The local government has agreed to pull the video after the backlash.

‘We need to be considerate toward those who are unhappy and have negative feelings about it,’ said Miyagi Governor Yoshihiro Murai, according to South China Morning Post.

He added: ‘But I have no doubt the video played its role of attracting visitors to Miyagi prefecture.’
