Jarrod Woodgate is the newest ambassador for Camp Quality. 

The Bachelor In Paradise star has revealed he signed up to the charity after tragically losing his cousin to cancer when his relative was just five-years-old.

Recalling his family’s heartbreak in an emotional interview, Jarrod said helping sick children is a cause close to his heart.

‘My second cousin was with Camp Quality and he passed away when he was five,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.

Over the weekend, the vineyard manager enjoyed a Camp Quality camp at Victoria’s Lake Mountain, partaking in fun games with children and their families.

‘It’s my first camp as an ambassador for Camp Quality,’ Jarrod said ‘(I wanted to)  make the day as fun as possible for the kids.

‘As long as they’re having a fun day. It also allows the families to reconnect, meet new people and enjoy their time without any stresses.’

He added: ‘I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a while.’ 

Jarrod also encouraged others to get involved with the charity.

‘Being a part of something [like this], it’s bigger than anything,’ he said.

‘I think if we put all our attention and focus on getting these kids through the tough times…we need to make sure that they can continue on and have a great life.

‘And you feel really good for helping out…Anybody can do it,’ he added.
